This is the beginning of what is an ongoing project with the Vancouver Art Gallery. We have taken their discarded exhibition banners and have transformed them into bags for the gallery store.
The Flat Grocer is the perfect counterpart for a transient load. Its flat folding design makes for easy storage when empty yet the gusseted bottom allows it to stand up straight when full. The zippered top keeps all of your belongings safe and makes this bag the ideal market companion.
Each bag has been carefully patterned and assembled in order to retain the congruency of the banner image intact on the bag. A half-tone dither, read as a shaded image from far away, becomes a unique polka-dot when seen up close.
