RFDPROJECTS.CA is an index of creative projects by Red Flag Design. Red Flag is a product design and manufacturing company based in Vancouver, BC Canada. It was founded in 2004 by partners Stuart Sproule and Barnaby Killam.
Specializing in the use of recycled materials, Red Flag primarily produces sewn goods and is best known for their line of AUM (Alternate Use Material) bags created from retired nautical sails.
Red Flag often ventures beyond sailcloth to utilize a variety of materials such as decommissioned life rafts, obsolete advertising banners and reclaimed canvas military tents to name a few. Some of the projects highlighted on this website include such alternative materials, while other projects are simply examples of other creative interests.
